Born in Zhucheng, Shandong Province in 1945, Lu Huaizhong is a professor, famous scholar, researcher of Chinese traditional painting and calligraphy theory and creation, and contemporary master of landscape painting in China. Following many masters in history such as Fan Kuan, Zhang Daqian, Li Keran and Lu Yanshao, Lu Huaizhong has originally established School of Immense Forest and Vast Snow and School of Modern Forest and Mountain in his art devotion for more than 5 decades.

In Lu Huaizhong’s art values, he advocates avoiding vulgarity, corruption and vanity, and highlighting originality, uprightness and academic research, while in aesthetic theory, he boldly puts forward the statement that aesthetics and feelings in black and white are the common source of beauty and art creation for both East and West. Currently he has many publications such as Lu Huaizhong Landscape Painting Selection and Lu Huaizhong Cursive Script Selection in eight editions, and more than ten works albums such as Traditional Chinese Painting Masters’ Across-time Conversation: Fan Kuan vs Lu Huaizhong and Three Masters of Traditional Chinese Painting.
