Founded in 1943 and based in Vset┴n, a city in the eastern part of Czech Republic, the Wallachian Folklore Ensemble VSACAN is widely recognized as one of the earliest performing arts groups in the country¨s modern history. The ensemble dedicates itself to promoting the unique cultural traditions of Moravia and Wallanchia. While participating in many radio and TV programs and film productions of the Czech Republic, the ensemble has also toured a great number of countries around the world.

The ensemble has developed a wide repertoire, including round dance, image dance, artisan dance, ancient dance, male solo dance and Czardas dance from Wallanchia. Both its dance and music are exceptionally appealing. The folk arts interpreted by its dancers and musicians can find their roots from the traditions of residents dwelling in Moravian slopes.
