<p> 《中国美术报》社长兼总编辑张晓凌表示，此次评选基于艺术家和艺术机构在2018年度内创作的新作品、举办的有影响力的展览。以入选艺术家的构成来看，从“30后”到“70后”老中青三代全覆盖，这从一个侧面说明中国的美术事业是在一个文化逻辑中展开的，正是每位艺术家不同的创造力、不同的观念、不同的语言形式，构成了这样的创新逻辑。</p>
