　　2010年春节，因右手大拇指骨折，在疗伤期间，蔡冬梅开始探索左手书法创作。半年后，左手作品巧拙意趣、别具一格。

　　此幅作品用汉代“爨宝子”体笔划书写了“春华秋实”四个字。作品古拙厚重，方圆并用，活脱自然，气韵畅通，汉代隶书遗风若出其表。

　　楹联，“积德不倾，择交不败”。此联看似平和安详，不激不励，但平中见奇，柔中有刚。作者在提按挑捺、轻重疾徐的法度中尽情放达。细细品味，有狮子搏象之情怀，深蕴老僧补衲之闲静，是左笔不可多得之力作。

　　作品书写了周恩来的诗“相逢萍水”。人们常说书法写美容易写拙难，此幅作品拙中见美，沉着痛快，方笔见多，碑意很浓，把周恩来的堂堂仪表、崇高品德表现得淋漓尽致。

　　一幅书写小平同志“发展才是硬道理”名言的条屏。作者布局巧妙，用一行大字书写主题内容，用两行小字作陪衬。特别是七个字中有五个字有捺划，书写各不相同。作品字数少，气魄大。古拙大气，开张有度，似黄钟大吕，轰鸣不息。把总设计师改革开放、发展经济、建设强国、造福人民的崇高精神境界和力挽狂澜的雄才大略展现给观者。
